Nancy O'Dell's first position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on these situations. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. As well as her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also to Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
